Nick and Kyle sit down and discuss pride and how without it we struggle as a society. Imagine a world where everyone just doesn't care. Things tend to not move forward, tasks don't get handled, life kind of just comes to a halt. If we as humans put pride in what we do whether that with what you do for a living or just yourself. It says volumes about your character. We take pride in our work at Dawson Manufacturing and in our daily lives outside of it. Doing it right the first time is always the best way.

061. Taking care of our people. Getting G&M Lawn and Landscape back in action.

Nick and Kyle welcome an in-house guest, Graham with G&M Lawn and Landscape. They had a self-inflicted problem with their MulchMate which resulted in a trip to our HQ. 055. The power of saying NO/NOT YET is really a superpower.

Nick and Kyle discuss the power of saying no or not yet in business as a superpower. The old adage "you give an inch they will take a mile" is true in a lot of scenarios. Kyle one project costs him around $10,000 dollars just by telling the client yes, we can do that, when in reality saying no to the project in its entirety would have saved a lot of heart ache and issues. Nick discusses how saying not yet is beneficial too. By allowing yourself some time to process the information you have taken in and not making a decision immediately could potentially lead to a minor change in a gearing to provide immense torque in a product that once was not thought of.
